San Rafael Half Marathon or Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon

Train to run or run/walk your first half marathon or improve your race time. This training will prepare you for a half marathon by increasing your run fitness through gradually increasing mileage, working on run form, more efficient biomechanics, and coached workouts to help you run faster. First run is 6 miles and each week the distance increases. To get the most out of this group, we suggest that you currently are able to run or run/walk 5 miles and maintain a 14 minute per mile pace or faster. Group meets on Saturdays at 7:45 a.m. (7:30 during summer months) at various locations in Sonoma County, and on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. for speed work.
