Finally, a group setting is uniquely motivating, and many find it easier to be consistent when meeting up with people.

California International Marathon (CIM) training 2018

Program Start: August 4th, 2018
Program Schedule: Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. & Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.
Goal Race: California International Marathon
Program Fee: $199 excluding race entry
Description: The Sacramento Running Association (SRA) and Fleet Feet Sports have partnered to bring you a California International Marathon (CIM) training experience like no other! The Official CIM Training program has everything –experienced coaches, ability-based training schedules and marathon specific seminars along with a private bus to the starting line, warming hut in the start area & bathrooms just for Fleet Feet runners on race morning. While this marathon training is filled with perks, at its core it is about building a community of people who share a passion and who want to work together to reach their goals. This program is about encouraging and motivating one another to do your best. Whether you are looking to simply finish, improve on a previous time or qualify for Boston, this program will leave you a better, faster and smarter runner. New this year, we are also training for two person relays at CIM. Enjoy the same great benefits with the hotel block, warming tent, finish area tent, shirt, etc, but train for a half marathon. Along the way you are also welcome to run the Healdsburg half races in October, or any other event; your coaches will accommodate that with an altered schedule. Project Zero 5K Beginning Run/Walk Program

Program Start: Tuesday, September 4, 2018 5:30 PM
Program Schedule: Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:30 pm Finley Center, W. College Avenue, Santa Rosa
Goal Race: Project Zero 5K, October 21st at Taft Street Winery.
Program Fee: $99, excludes race entry
Description: Fleet Feet Sports offers the largest 5K training program in the nation! If you have ever tried to start a running program in the past and felt you couldn’t keep up or needed to be in better shape, this is the program for YOU! Along the way, we'll keep you moving with guidance and advice, weekly group training runs, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. As part of the beginning 5K run/walk program, participants will receive the following: **A 7-week training program and calendar with workouts provided **10 percent discount in Fleet Feet for length of training session **Free Technical shirt **Weekly coach talks **Weekly coach information by e-mail **Coach-guided weekly training sessions **Access to coaches via email during the week **Dedicated support from the coach to answer individual questions **The camaraderie of others with the same goal! Intro to Trail Running - Fall 2018

Program Start: Sunday, September 16th, 8:00am
Program Schedule: Sundays at 8 am in various locatins, Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm for speed work and hill repeats
Goal Race: Rodeo Beach 8K, December 9th, 2018
Program Fee: $99, excludes race entry
Description: Join us to explore local trails in our beautiful Sonoma County parks, and learn how to conquer the terrain. You will experience some amazing scenery while learning new trails that you will visit for years to come. Hitting the dirt may be just what you are looking for to reduce injury and enhance your running experience. The program is designed to make sure that no one runs alone, so please don't worry about being left behind. Sunday runs will vary in distance and intensity. This group is for the newbie trail runner looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to improve their running and reduce injuries. Sunday morning runs will start at 2 miles and work up to 6 miles. Goal race is the Rodeo Beach 8K (5 miles) in the Marin Headlands on December 8, 2018. Cost for training program:$99.00 ($79 for prior Fleet Feet participants) and does not include the race fee.

Fall Trail Group - 2018

Program Start: Sunday September 16th, 2018, 8 am start to the run
Program Schedule: Sundays at 8 am in various locatins, Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm for speed work and hill repeats
Goal Race: Rodeo Beach 20K, December 9th, 2018
Program Fee: $99, excludes race entry
Description: Starting September 16th, 2018, the group will begin training in Annadel State Park with runs starting at 4.5 miles, and by the end of October start exploring other parks such as Bald Mountain, Point Reyes, Shell Beach/Pomo Canyon, and Marin Headlands, with runs gradually working up to Half Marathon distance (13.1 miles). The fun and camaraderie of trail running is contagious, and the program is structured to make sure no one runs alone. If you enjoy trail running and are ready to take it to the next level with a fun group of people, this is the training group for you. The group is for experienced trail runners, whether slow or fast, that are looking for adventure and fun. If you're new to trail running, or want to give it a try for the first time, we also have an Intro to Trail Running group.
